I joined this wiki because: I love the Ellen Show and I love the way she gives back. I live in New Orleans and know the reality of whats happened here because of Hurricane Katrina. Like Ellen I'm trying to give back, so I've joined the Ellen wiki in the hopes of reaching more people that were and are touched by the devistation that still befalls New Orleans.

My dream job(s): My shirt company that I'm starting up! Its been a dream of mine to be able to give back to New Orleans what its given me all these years. This is such a magical, historical city!
What else you should know about me: I'm a very outgoing, vivacious person. Its all about people with me. I was born in a very small community in South Louisiana and am lucky enough to be living in the most outrageous city in the World. Its like being on vacation every weekend. And I'm so very proud to call it home, now. I have two beautiful children that I love more than anything. I'm single and do have someone that I'de like to call special in my life. I love planning events and making them special. I also love writing and will be posting some of my writings for people to read and hopefully give me some feedback on. Thanks!

Hello! I live in New Orleans and have started a company that I hope will aid in bringing businesses back to New Orleans. My company is WORDbydenais. I'm going to be posting some pics of some of the t'shirts and aparrel that we will be selling and hope you find them interesting. "Canal had a little bit of water in it, but not that much and the french quarter was all saved. You see that part sit on the lip of the bowl. The 9th ward, where Brad is building those homes is what got flooded because it sits in the bowl. Now we're having to worry about rising water from up north. We've had to open our flood gates that haven't been opened in 20 years and the water is still rising. They're sand bagging on the river right now. Like we need that!"
Back home in Ashland,Ky.the Ohio river runs right along side Ashland.So we have flood walls.So I will be coming down there the end of May.To lend my help. Jeanie
