Well, it’s been five days… and things are not going well. She squeezes the toothpaste from the top, she hogs all the covers… and someone’s been leaving the seat up. I should’ve thought this through. There are some pluses though -- I don’t look so silly riding my tandem bike, and I can finally use those two-for-one coupons at Hometown Buffet. I also like answering the phone, “DeGeneres-de Rossi residence. To whom may I direct your call?” I’m very formal on the phone.
I’ve got to run now… I’m gonna sneak into the freezer and steal a bite of the top of the wedding cake… don’t tell Portia.
We had no idea that once you get married you have to eat off of one plate. It also cuts doing the dishes time in half. Being married is great!
We posed for this picture before dinner, and then we got stuck like that for half an hour... I’m never wearing that much hairspray again.

Ellen DeGeneres announced during the taping of The Talk Show (The Show Aired:16th May 2008) that she is getting married!!!!!!!!!
Justin Timberlake is going to write an original song for Ellen and Portia's wedding.....
He told Ellen to write down everything she wants to say to Portia, and told Portia to write down everything she wants to say to Ellen and he'll make a song out of it. And they seemed really serious about it.

Ellen mentioned on the show (22nd May 2008) that she and Portia had been planning to have a commitment ceremony anyway this summer!!!!

Great job on the photos jjoan, I knew you would be on the ball as soon as the pics were out. Congratulations Ellen and Portia! Can't wait until the show starts and we get to hear all about it. It's made the six o'clock news here which is great. Once again YEY!!

I cannot believe this...congratz Ellen and Portia...u r the most awesome couple anyway..so great now you'll be the most awesome and beautiful married couple. Oh and YES to gay marriage,...thank god some people now realize that gays should have the same rights as everyone else!!!!! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WORKED SO HARD TO MAKE THS A REALITY !!!!

Congratulations and many happy years to come.
I wish I had some help for my Autistic Adult son and his wife to have a sponsor for their wedding wows. Autism speaks and all the others only help under 21, I would like to establish a benefit for adults and thei families. They would like a wedding on the beach in LA or OC and make it a reality show and get a grant to make a documentary about his life to help other families with Autism and LD. They have a son 6 months old, and he works at Walmart. He studies at UNLV film school and communications, produced a tv show "This aint no Buffet" and would like to have a "Non-Traditional Productions" and use the handicapped, retired actorsk, directors, produces, and equipment and a place to live for the families interested, all in one place.
