Show Ideas

Hi Ellen! Boy do I love your show. I had a show idea for you. I know you are always willing to lend the helping hand. To the left you will find a video of a very dear friend of mine singing. His name is Patrick Lee Garza from Brownsville, Texas. He currently plays with a local band but has aspirations of taking it so much further. He has written songs, some of which he has managed to get recorded. He would love to be a song writer but he is also a great singer. You can listen to some of his songs at http://www.myspace.com/patrickleegarza. He not only plays the acoustic guitar but bass guitar as well. I think it would be great to have an amateur singer/songwriter episode. I realize this video is not of best quality but it was a spur of the moment recording. Thanks Ellen. Your the greatest!

This gal is a HOOT!!!! I just watched her on YouTube at a friend's request and about fell out of my chair watching the "I Can Smell You Breathe" video. I would love to see her and Ellen together. The laughs would be non-stop!
International Fans
Hi Ellen,

We were wondering if you could please take the time to see if you could make getting things a little easier for your fans from other countries? I live in the UK, and I can't enter any competition and can't get tickets to see you.

Lawrence Welk would roll over in his grave! This group of geriatric rockers belt out tunes to the likes of Coldplay, The Rollingstones, and more! Fox Searchlight is releasing a film about them tomorrow, April 9th and they can been seen in concert next Thursday at the Wilshire Theater in Beverly Hills (http://www.wtbh.org/). These folks would be great guests on Ellen!!

Ellen Travel Correspondents
I was wondering if you would please consider doing a segment where you send a fan (or fans) out to different places around the country several times throughout the year and have them report in on what is happening where they visit.( i.e. the Grammies, Oscars, etc.) Maybe you could send someone down to New Orleans to report on the progess of the Make It Right housing project in the lower 9th ward; send them out to the polls in November to report on what is happening in their district; or have them pick places they find interesting to share with you, Styker, and the audience.

Whuutah Wiki Game! whuutah wiki game logo
Show idea description: First, it's a game called "Whuutah Wiki Game!". No, basically, how about having your online games here in the wiki area and make Ellen-wiki-es (fans) earn points while competing with other fans. Game suggestions: TETRIS, which is an old game but surely still fun; SCRABBLE: stimulates the brain and probably lessens your risk of getting Alzheimer's; CARD games, which probably most know how to play; SUDOKU, same with scrabble (about Alzheimer's), Virtual MARSHMALLOW GAME, Virtual Deep Dig Dish, ETC... And whoever gets like 500,000 points in a one month period WINS a FREE ticket/seat or TWO to watch the show LIVE in the audience!!!! Or probably win other Ellen fun stuffs like the cool, breezy Ellen underwear (most of us don't have one lol) or a TiVO. Then, whoever wins once cannot play again anymore lol to give others more chance. Moreover, the points a contestant earn in a day/period will NOT apply or roll over for the next day... You can just do this like just once (only 1 month) every Ellen season; it's up to you guys how you would like to do it. :)

Or a photo contest/art contest, or a trivia game or song game (of course, something about Ellen --ex. a photo of "Whuutah Make Me Look-a-Like Ellen" or a trivia that we don't know about Ellen or the show or compose a "Whuutah Song for Ellen") or you can make a "Whuutah Wiki Game" different each season to entice all of your staffs creativity lol but more importantly to make the audience ENJOY & have some little FUN today! :) And if there is more than one lucky wiki-winner then you can do a raffle to have just one winner or to make it more fun just have different prizes --for example: the first one to acquire the required bunch of points or to the most with a number of votes in a poll of your chosen/finalist's submission then wins the 1st prize: 2 tickets to the show, 2nd prize: TiVO, 3rd prize: gift certificate, Consolation prizes: Ellen underwear, promotional CDs, etc. :)

This will stimulate this wiki area and make more people join in this wiki community! :) That's how I see it.

P.S. If you need part-time staffs lol, I can make myself available! Lol...

Fourth of July Show Fourth of July Show
I would love to see Ellen tape her fourth of July show outside at night. Her guests could watch a spectacular display of fireworks put on by TEDS Also trivia regarding the independence of the U.S. could be a segment for this show, with a trip to Disneyland as a prize (Disneyland has fireworks every night at midnite) I don't know if she actually reads this Wiki. I've emailed her directly with a link to it. Let's hope and pray that she'll become computer literate enough to come see what we've done here.

p.s. for those interested Ellen has a game room on her official site http://www.ellentv.com which includes Solitaire, SCRABBLE: ; CARD games, including solitaire, Sudoku. A virtual marshmallow game, fit through the wall game or a virtual dig deep game would be a great addition to her game room.

Ellen - On June 19th, John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls is being inducted into the Songwriter's Hall of Fame. The guy has a great sense of humor...and is FINE taboot....I (and many, MANY others) would SO FREAKIN' LOVE to see him (and the other Goo's!) on your show. What a perfect way to start the summer, huh? If you consider, PLEASE PLEASE let me know so I can make EVERY attempt to get tix for my daughter and I to come to the show. He has met my daughter before (at a Best Buy free concert in LA last year) and seemed quite smitten with her...would love to see him again!!!

humanELLENment GLBT Californian's Who Are Exchanging Nuptials in the Studio Audience 3 Sep 27 2008, 10:42 AM EDT by MargaritaVille

I would love to see a show where all of the members of the audience are Californian's who will be getting (or who got married) over the summer and fall of 2008. This would be a great show next season! My partner and I have been waiting 7 years for this opportunity and we, like Ellen and Portia, will be saying our "I Do's" this summer or early fall if all goes well...albeit in front of an audience of very few people as we don't have the time to plan for something as extravagant and, well, "planned" as Ellen will. We don't have "people" lol, nor have we saved up the money to throw such an event. But damnit, we want that piece of paper!

Who thinks this would be cool? She could give away gifts to the newlyweds, much like she does with the mother's day show or at the 12 days of Christmas, and the grand prize could be a honeymoon to some fantastic locale!

Have Simon Cowell co-host with Ellen to feature Kate & Gin (canine freestyle), Escala, Faryl Smith, Andrew Johnston, and the winner George Sampson. This would be an amazing show of talent from our friends across the pond.

How about sending Ellen out to different locations with her vacuum? It seems like it's one of her favorite appliances. Remember when she vacuumed at the Oscars? She could go to museums and restaurants, or shopping malls and movie theatres, or any red carpet event. She could have an army of vacuumes, all shapes and sizes, from a dust-buster to a riding sweeper, depending on the mess. I think it has the potential to be hilarious!

Ok, so Ellen hits New York and Orlando annually. Now she's doing Chicago. How about a cross country tour that takes her show to some other great cities? You know like; Boston, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Tulsa, Austin, Oklahoma City, Seattle, San Fransisco too. You get the point.
