Lovin' these 80's tunes
May 7 2008, 12:49 PM EDT Being that I graduated from high school in 1989, music from this decade really brings back some fond memories. "Under Pressure" was practically my theme song during that time, and who doesn't love "Video Killed the Radio Star?" Do you find this valuable? |

May 10 2008, 12:09 PM EDT "Class of '88 myself. I actually had an "I want my Mtv shirt"."Ah, yes...good ol MTV. It was banned in my household after my mother saw Madonna's "Like a Virgin" video. I had to go to my friend Staci's house to get my music video fixes. Good times, good times! Do you find this valuable? |

May 10 2008, 2:44 PM EDT I graduated in '90. My fav even to this day is Tainted Love. I remember watching the first night MTV aired. Too bad they had to mess it up. I have like 10 music video channels and no videos. I guess that was the good ole days huh? Do you find this valuable? |

I know we watched the premier of MTV but to this day I can't recall what was on. I agree with you though, about music video channels - they don't actually play videos anymore. It's sad. Maybe bands don't make as many videos these days. Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 4 2008, 10:02 PM EDT "I remember watching the first night MTV aired. Too bad they had to mess it up. I have like 10 music video channels and no videos. I guess that was the good ole days huh?"At the risk of sounding like a grumpy old man... These kids today don't know how good they've got it! We actually had to live through the days before MTV and HBO. Back when Saturday Night Live really was and the Little Rascals were on every Sunday morning. Before computers and cell phones when call waiting was a luxury. Before Playstation, X-Box and Wii, we had Atari. (long live PacMan!) Before remote controls, when we had to get up and change the channel. When cars were all equiped with AM radios and FM was the only other choice. Back when head phones covered your entire ear and the first WalkMan was still years away. Ahhh the good old days...I miss em'. AND we had to walk to school, uphill, in the snow! Jun 5 2008, 5:34 PM EDT I just love the 80's my teens hate that I listen to that old music as I am told, But I think its the greatest music ever. I graduated in 86'. I remember when we wanted to play video games you had to go to the arcadia. But I did get the Attri game as soon as it was released. Good heavens I miss the those days. Do you find this valuable? |

Jun 5 2008, 7:56 PM EDT Not to make ANYONE in particular feel old, but I was born in 1984. I grew up with my uncles and brother and their friends who listened to this stuff into the early 90s. I still prefer it to the "music" on the radio today. Some of the early 90s were just as good though. After that it went down hill. In the snow! Do you find this valuable? |

I love the music in the '80s as well :) Oldies but goodies..pop music back then is more calming/relaxing in my opinion than the loud banging pop rap noisy songs today Do you find this valuable? |
